SADKO Submarine (Larnaca Marina, Larnaca) – this is a submarine for tourists interested in exploring coastal areas near Larnaca (which can accommodate 40 passengers, conducting one-hour underwater trips). Among the items found off of its waters are a number of underwater shipwrecks. One of them is the ferry “Zenobia” that sunk off Larnaca harbor in 1980 during its maiden voyage. Other wrecks found in these waters include a British helicopter that sunk in 1996 (lying at a depth of 16 meters) and HMS Cricket – a British battleship that sank in 1947, due to bad weather. There is also the wreck of a British armored car, which is now a protected area with thriving marine life.
