Cyprus Museum (1 Mouseiou Street, Nicosia) – this museum has a variety of exhibits with artifacts that confirm the island’s rich ancient history. Clay figures (large and small), along with pottery, bronze and marble statues, and other items are shown here – from the Neolithic and Bronze ages, to the Phoenician, Assyrian, Greek and Roman periods.
Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (Tuesday – Friday), 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Saturday), 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Sunday). Closed on Monday. Note: first Wednesday of the month: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm. Admission: €4.50
